What is the downside of Casualmere®?
Everyone will want to touch you to feel your Casualmere® garment. (We think that’s an upside.) You let us know
!
Are all Casualmere® products basic in design? Where are the high fashion styles?
As you have probably noticed, fashion brands come and go, often very quickly. Casualmere® basics and classics will be as wearable in two years as they are today ... and in two years you will have purchased many more colors of the same, or new, basic items.
Casualmere® garments are the elegant, washable, ecological, economical everyday wear that you depend on while still knowing you look (and feel) good. Every time you wear your Casualmere® garment you will end up in a conversation about it with friends. You will have discussions about how soft the fabric feels and how good it is to be eco-aware.
Does Casualmere® fade?
Casualmere® takes dye colors brilliantly and will fade NO more than other naturally sourced materials such as cotton, linen or rayon. If you care for this luxury fabric properly with a cool water washing and hang or cool dry, it will keep you happy for a long time. It will always be very soft when dry!
Does Casualmere® shrink?
Only slightly. Casualmere® is pre-shrunk in production. As with all knits, we recommend folding and storing your Casualmere® garments in a drawer rather than keeping on a hanger, to avoid stretching or “hanger shoulder.”
Why Casualmere®, as opposed to other “bamboo” products I occasionally see offered?
Many “Bamboo” garments you will see are heavily blended with cotton (for no good reason other than to make it cheaper). Casualmere® is usually 95 to 100 percent viscose from Bamboo. (For appropriate garments we blend with 5 percent Spandex for added stretch.) Casualmere® is the most eco-friendly (and people-friendly) fabric available for clothing. Why dilute all the ecological benefits of bamboo by blending it with other stuff? You will even find other bamboo brands with as little as 5 to 20 percent bamboo claiming to be Bamboo ... don’t be fooled ... you can usually tell from the feel. Read garment labels for actual fabric content. Our content is printed right on the inside neck for you to see. Also, yourCasualmere® garments don’t have a neck label to scratch you, or to flip up and show embarrassingly, from your neck.
